Finding an employee record

You can find an employee record by searching by the employee code, employee's name or part of their name or select the employee from a list.

You can find an employee record by searching by the employee code, employee's name or part of their name or select the employee from a list.

  1. Click  Employees Employees.PNG on the Toolbar. The Find Employees page appears.

  1. In the Search for field, type in the employee code, employee's name or part of the name (or leave the field blank and go to Step 6).

OR

If you are searching for an employee as part of another task, click the Ellipsis button Buttom Ellipisis.PNG and if needed, define the search by selecting the Responsibility.

  1. Select the Hide form when only one item found checkbox at the bottom of the window if required.

  2. Select the Search any part of name/code check box if required.

  3. Select Include disable timesheet and/or Include disable login if you want to include those employees in your search.

  4. Click the Search button.
    The results that match your search criteria are listed in the window or the one employee record is displayed.  If you did not enter anything in the Search field, all the records are displayed.

  5. If you have a listing, double-click the employee record you want to open. (You can double-click any information on the employee name other than the email address.)

  6. The Employee Details - Main tab page appears.

Note: Hide form when only one item found - select the Hide form when only one item found check box to display the record directly if there is only one record that matches your search criteria. The results page will be displayed only if the search criteria bring up multiple records.

Note: Search any part of name/code - select the Search any part of name/code box so that the search results contain any part of the search criteria within their name. For example: 'mit' in Smith. Leave this check box clear if you are looking for codes/names with the search criteria at the beginning of the name/code. For example: 'mil' at the beginning of Mitchell.

Note: Include disable timesheet - select the Include disable timesheet box to include in the search all employees who had their timesheet disabled.

Note: Include disable login - select the Include disable login box to include in the search all employees who had their login disabled.
