3. The Workflow Service console

Within the Workflow Service console, users can view detailed information about the Workflow Service: The name of the machine where the Workflow Service is installed. The number of versioning processes that are started on the Workflow Service. If the Workflow Service processes are running without issues, the Workflow Service console is displayed like in the screen shot presented below and the number of running processes are displayed under the Process ID column with the Status: Healthy. The Status of the Workflow Service in case one or multiple versioning processes fail to process.

If one or multiple versioning processes fail to process more than one minute, the name of the process(es) is(are) displayed in the Workflow Service console with the Status: Slow and the entire row is displayed in red.

If one or multiple versioning processes fail to process more than three minutes, the name of the process(es) is(are) displayed in the Workflow Service console with the Status: Hung.

If one or multiple versioning processes fail to process and cannot be recovered, the name of the process(es) is(are) displayed in the Workflow Service console with the Status: Error. Users can click on the Error label and a dialog with details about the error is displayed.

The messages disappear from the Workflow Service console after the processes start to run properly.

The Workflow Management Console screen is periodically refreshed every 3 seconds and if an error is visible it would disappear from the Workflow Service console. In this case, the user can select the Pause button and the label would revert to Resume, and while in the paused state the user could investigate the error by clicking on the title displaying Error status.
