Placing an invoice on hold

    Place an invoice on hold

    1. From the main menu, select Bookkeeping > Cash Posting > Purchase Ledger Payments.

    2. In the Payments window, select the Ledger option on the right side of the window.

    3. Select the Company from the drop down list.

    4. Enter the Supplier Code or the Supplier Name. Entering one displays the other automatically.
      All the outstanding invoices for the supplier are displayed.

    5. Double-click the invoice you want to place on hold.
      The Purchase Ledger Invoice window for the selected invoice is displayed.

    6. Select the In Dispute check box.
      The Dispute Invoice window is displayed.

    7. Select a Dispute Type from the drop-down list and enter a comment if required.


    Use the comment to record any action taken or who has been contacted, etc.
    1. Click OK to close the Dispute Invoice window.

    2. Click Close to close the Purchase Ledger Invoice window.
      You are returned to the Payments window.
      In the grid, you will notice that the invoice has the In Dispute check box selected.

    3. Click Close to close the Payments window.
