  • CCH Accounts Production 2016.1 introduced some problems in generating accounts from Trust Accounts through Accounts Production.  These issues are mostly fixed in CCH Accounts Production  2016.1 Service Pack 1.  There are still some Known Issues that are documented below. Note that the version of Trust Accounts itself is still 2015.3. The changes described here are to CCH Accounts Production and only affect Trust Accounts users that are using CCH Accounts Production as its accounts formatter.   Fixed in the 2016.1 Service Pack Nominal balances are not displayed in the accounts after upgrading to AP2016.1 So pages like the Balance Sheet show no figures at all. The investment schedule does display correctly. Unzipping a client can display an error Several error messages are possible, including: "There was an error generating the XML document" "Cannot insert duplicate key row in object dbo.ContactContact" When Saved Trial Balances are passed to AP, the last account of the last TB is omitted So if 3 trial balances are passed to AP using the Autoload, the last figure on the third trial balance can be missing.   After a Year End in Trust Accounts, Statutory Database information and local pages are lost   Now the Statutory Database and local pages are carried forwards into the new year in AP.   Accessing AP for a Limited Company freezes on 2016.1   When AP is accessed from Trust Accounts for a Limited Company or a Charity, the Home Page appears but shows  a dotted spinner rotating indefinitely.   When subaccounts are in use, nominal formulae may give the wrong result   When subaccounts are in use, a nominal formula that adds up a range of accounts double-counts the subaccounts   Known Faults There are however 2 Known Faults in 2016.1 SP1: ITS/55244 - Immediately after conversion from VAP some Trial Balances do not appear in AP The problem is that it opens AP in the wrong year, but only immediately after a conversion from VAP. To see all the trial balances either, change the year end in AP in the drop-down in the top left of the screen exit from the client in AP and go back into it again. ITS/55245 - The RangeDefs used on Estate Accounts show "Error in formula" These RangeDefs refer to Saved TBs. Please contact WK TAA if affected by either of these issues.
  • CCH Accounts Production 2016.1 introduced some problems in generating accounts from Trust Accounts through Accounts Production.  Most of these issues were fixed in CCH Accounts Production  2016.1 Service Pack 1, but a couple of  Known Issues were noted. Service Pack 2 fixes these Known Issues and includes a few more lower priority fixes. Service Pack Pack 2 was only notified to CCH Accounts Production users. But it is available to any user by running the CSI in the usual way. Note that the version of Trust Accounts itself is still 2015.3. The changes described here are to CCH Accounts Production and only affect Trust Accounts users that are using CCH Accounts Production as its accounts formatter.   Fixed in the 2016.1 Service Pack 2 ITS/55184 - Global Accounts Printing is giving an error with AP2016.1  It should now work correctly. ITS/55244 - On 2016.1 SP1 immediately after conversion from VAP no TB is present This was a Known Issue from 2016.1 SP1. The user needed to change year to see the TBs. ITS/55245 - On 2016.1 SP1 the RangeDefs used on Estate Accounts show "Error in formula" This was also a Known Issue from 2016.1 SP1. ITS/55086 - Enable Home > Master Pack Version If a user is asked whether they wish to upgrade a client to the latest Master Pack and ticks "Ignore Master Pack upgrade" then there was no way to upgrade later. The option Master Pack Version allows the user to upgrade at a later date. ITS/55054 - Draft message is not ticked on a new client in StatDB When a Trust Accounts client is first opened in Accounts Production, the option to show the Draft Accounts message is now ticked by default. This can be seen in Statutory Database > General > General information. ITS/54299 - Pound signs appearing as <O> in investment schedule totals If an investment schedule is printed in Accounts Production using an Investment Schedule Profile which prints the totals with pound signs, then the pound signs were not appearing correctly. ITS/54486 - The Trust officers screen allows creating an officer with no Type The Type must be Trustee, Beneficiary or Settlor. ITS/54462 - The Format Designer should not be available for Trusts unless licensed for TA-AP Link This confused some Accounts Production users into thinking they could create accounts for trusts. ITS/55105 - The option Maintenance > Accounts does not appear unless a user is licensed for AP This prevented Trust Accounts users without Accounts Production from accessing the Format Designer.   Known Faults There are still 2 Known Faults in 2016.1 SP2:   ITS/54937 - Link to Central: The client Surname in Trust Accounts is truncated at 45 characters The problem is that Central's LName field allows 60 characters, Trust Accounts allows 45. This will be fixed in 2016.2 as it requires a new version of Trust Accounts. ITS/55395 - The Errors and Exceptions panel should be removed from the Accounts Production Home Screen for Trust Accounts cases It contains messages such as  "No postings made to Balance Sheet Rounding account", but you can click a link on the message and get to a screen from which you cannot escape. This is most likely to be fixed in 2016.3.
  • The version of Trust Accounts itself is unchanged and is still 2016.2. The changes described here are to CCH Accounts Production and only affect Trust Accounts users that are using CCH Accounts Production as its accounts formatter. They are included in the 2016.2 Service Pack 1 of CCH Accounts Production. 2016.2 SP1 is due for release in the week commencing 19/09/2016. Fixed in the 2016.2 Service Pack 1 ITS/55639 - TA-AP Link - Investment schedule - If a security contains double quotes it prints in the wrong column  This could happen in a security name containing "B" shares. It should now work correctly. ITS/55630 - Investment schedule - Negative balances are shown with a minus sign in page totals Negative balances in page totals now print with brackets. ITS/55629 - The Period End field in AP is being created with a leading zero For instance it would display 5th April as 05 April instead of 5 April.   Known Faults The following are the Known Faults in 2016.2 SP1:   Pension clients cannot use Accounts Production The Masterpacks for Pension accounts are currently on beta. The final release is now expected in 2016.4.  Limitations on the formulae that can be used in a nominal range or a RangeDef  A nominal range supports the ~ pattern-matching operator, e.g. =AP("(a,8101~8901)"), but you cannot drill down from the accounts to see the make-up of a balance given by such a formula. A nominal range does not support the ~M100 or ~S2 syntax to step through main accounts or subaccounts. =AP("RangeDef,0020..005Z,,a,-1,0,ab”) is not supported. It needs to be written as =AP("RangeDef,0020,005Z,a,-1,0,ab”). =AP("RangeDef,[(0020~002Z)],,a,-1,0,ab”) is not supported because AP does not currently process the pattern matching symbol (~) in a RangeDef. Similarly the ~M100 or ~S2 syntax is not supported in a RangeDef. The Nz command supports the same nominal formulae as a RangeDef. If a VAP page has a code that does not match any of the CCH masters it will not appear in the correct position in the list of pages after conversion from VAP The conversion converts the pages whose names match the CCH masters and adds any other pages on the end. After conversion the user needs to drag the pages back to their correct position.
