Changing a contact into a client

    Overview

    If you commence work for a contact, they cannot remain a contact in the database. They must be designated or changed to a client in the database so that the work done can be accounted for.

    Change a contact into a client

    1. Open the Contact page for the contact you want to change to a client.

    2. On the Task Bar click Convert to client.

    3. In the Convert contact to client window, enter a client Code for the contact.

    Note

    The code needs to be unique in the database or an error message will be displayed.
    1. Click OK to close the window. A Client page opens for the contact.

    2. On the Client page, complete information in each tab for the new client as required.
