Using the Online Help

    The online help included with the CCH suite helps you use our software and services effectively. From within the software you refer to the online help by selecting Help > Online Help from the main menu or by pressing [F1] on the keyboard. This opens the CCH Software Help site.

    You can also access this Help site directly via the URL and by saving the URL to your Favourites.

    On the left of the main Help window is a Table of Contents from where you can quickly access help topics.

    Two types of Search are now offered: standard Search with a single text field, and Advanced search that helps you specify multiple search criteria if you are looking for more targeted results.

    You can download topics as pdf files. Click More > Save as PDF to download the current topic as a pdf file. The More menu also lets you email the topic link to a recipient of your choice.

    You can also add comments to topics. For example, if you have a useful tip that you would like to share with other users, scroll down to the end of the topic, enter text in the Comments box and then click Add comment.  Comments are moderated to ensure that they conform to the aims of the Help. Please note that you will need to be logged in to add comments to a topic.

    If you want to return to the previous topic simply click your browser's Back button.

    As part of our continuous improvement process, you can now use the ‘thumbs up’ and ‘thumbs down’ icons to let us know if you found a topic helpful.  All topics display the icons at the top and bottom of the page to let us know what you think.  Please note that you will need to be logged in to use this feature.
