How to set up an employee to authorise bills and timesheets

You will want to give authority to some employees to authorise bills and timesheets of others. The authority is usually setup when you complete Step 8 of the Add New Employee Wizard. However, you can set up and modify employee authorities outside the wizard by using the Employee Details page: Authorisation tab.

  1. Find the employee's record.

  2. On the Employees Details page, click the Authorisation tab.

    The Authorisation tab appears.

  3. In Authorisation Type, select Billing.

  4. In View Type, select Can Authorise.

  5. In the Can Authorise panel, find the employee whose bills will be authorised by this employee.

  6. Repeat Step 5 for each employee.

  7. In Authorisation Type, select Timesheets.

  8. In View Type, select Can Authorise.

  9. In the Can Authorise panel, find the employee whose timesheets will be authorised by this employee.

  10. Repeat Step 9 for each employee.

  11. Click OK if appropriate.
