How to add partner responsibility

NOTE

While defining Partner Responsibility is not mandatory, it is advisable to complete it for reporting purposes.

  1. On the main toolbar click the Suppliers button File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../190_How+to+add+partner+responsibility/Supplier_button_on_main_toolbar_SMALL.gif.
    The Find Suppliers page appears.

  2. In the Search for field, enter the name (or part of the name) of the supplier record you want to find.

  3. Click Search or press the [Enter] key.
    The records that match your search criteria are listed in the window.

  4. Double–click the record you want to open.
    The Supplier page for the selected record appears.

  5. Click the Responsibility tab to display it.
    The Responsibility tab page has four main areas: the Partner Responsibility and Team boxes at the top, and the Notes box and Structure Responsibility area at the bottom.

  6. In the Partner Responsibility box, click the Partner field and then click the Find button File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../190_How+to+add+partner+responsibility/Ellipsis_button.gif next to it to open the Find Partners window.

  7. To select a partner using the Find Partners window:

- To search on part of the name, select the Search any part of name/code check box.
- In the Search for field, enter the name of the partner.
- Click Search  to list partners with the search criterion in their names.
- Select a partner from the list.

OR

With the Search for field blank, click Search to list all the partners, and then select a partner from the list.

Tip

Double-clicking the name of a partner in the Find Partners window selects the partner and closes the window.

  1. Click File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../190_How+to+add+partner+responsibility/ok_button.gif to select the partner and close the Find Partners window.
    The name of the selected partner is displayed in the Partner field on the Responsibility tab page.

  2. Enter the Start Date and End Date, if applicable, in DD/MM/YYYY format for the period the partner was assigned to the supplier.
    Alternatively, click the Start and End Date fields, click the List buttons File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../190_How+to+add+partner+responsibility/expand_arrow.gif to display the calendars that you can use to select the start and end dates respectively.

  3. Enter additional information in the Notes box if required.

  4. Click File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../190_How+to+add+partner+responsibility/ok_button.gif to save the Partner Responsibility details. The supplier page closes and you are returned to the search results page.

NOTE

It is important to enter an End Date when a supplier's partner changes, otherwise the supplier will appear inaccurately in reports under the responsibility of multiple partners.
