The Associated tab on the Supplier window is where you can view, create and maintain links with contacts in your database. From here you can also remove a relationship to a contact if it is no longer valid for the selected supplier.

To remove an association from a supplier record:

  1. On the main toolbar click the Suppliers button File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../310_How+to+remove+an+association+from+a+supplier+record/Supplier_button_on_main_toolbar_SMALL.gif.
The Find Suppliers page is displayed.

  2. In the Search for field, type in the name (or part of the name) of the record you want to search for.

  3. Click Search or press the [Enter] key.
The records that match your search criteria are listed in the window.

  4. Double-click the supplier record you want to add an association to.
The Supplier page for the selected record is displayed.

  5. Click the Associated tab to display it.

  6. Click the plus sign icon adjacent to the association you want to remove.

    File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../310_How+to+remove+an+association+from+a+supplier+record/Contact_name_in_Association_area.gif
    The field expands.
    File:dirname/pm/030_Suppliers/140_How+To.../310_How+to+remove+an+association+from+a+supplier+record/Contact_name_with_Association_expanded.gif

  1. Click the relationship below the association's name that you want to delete.
    The Delete button is enabled.

  2. Click Delete.
    The Confirm Delete message appears.

  3. Click Yes.
    The association is removed.

Note: when you delete a relationship, if it is the only relationship attached to the associate, the relationship and the associate are removed from the list. If there are multiple relationships attached to the same associate, only the selected relationship is deleted. You will need to delete each relationship individually to remove the associate from the list completely.
