The following information is valid only for the Assignments, Schedules and Jobs or Assignments, Schedules, Jobs and Job Time Recording job modes.
If a schedule template has been added to the selected assignment template, a schedule will be created and added to the assignment using the schedule template details. If no schedule template is associated to an assignment template, a job will be created and added to the assignment.
A Schedule specifies the start and end date of the work to be carried out. Schedules are usually cyclical because the nature of the work involved in them can be repeated time and time again for the same client or another client.
When specifying the start and end dates, you need to consider deadline dates that could be involved. The dates are used as the basis for calculating the default project start and end date from the offset dates defined in the schedule template.
Find the Client.
The Client Page displays.
Click the Assignments tab.
All existing assignments are listed.
Right click the assignment you want to add the schedule to. The pop up menu appears.
On the pop up menu, click the Add Job option. If a schedule template has been detected for the chosen assignment, a schedule is created and the Add Job/Schedule window is displayed.
Enter details for the Description, Start Date,and End Date.
You will not be able to change the schedule stage details. Once the assignment and schedule have been created you have the option of editing the schedule details on the Assignment>Schedule tab.
The responsibility details are not available on this window as the they are only applicable when adding new assignments to clients.
Click Finish. You will be taken to the Client>Assignment tab where you will be able to see the newly created schedule attached to the assignment.
