Allocating a Stage to an Employee Category

Last modified 08:04, 24 Apr 2017

Overview

When you add a Stage to a Schedule, the employee category defaults to -UNSPECIFIED-.

You can keep the default setting or for better control over resourcing and reporting, allocate the stage to a specific employee category.

If you allocate the stage to:

  • -UNSPECIFIED- it means that no specific person is assigned to complete the work. As a result, any employee can create a Timesheet against the Stage and Tasks.

This is the system default and if your practice maintains this setting, there is no need to complete the steps below.

  • a specific employee category — an example might be, Manager or Administration, it means that no one but an employee in the category selected can create a Timesheet against the Stage and Tasks.
