Entering unsecured creditors' claims

Overview

When entering unsecured creditors, claims must be matched to a Counterparty record.  You may also import unsecured creditors’ claims.

Entering unsecured creditors' claims

1.    To add a company who is already a counterparty as an Unsecured Creditor click Financials > Creditors.

2.    Right-click on Unsecured Creditors and select Add to Unsecured Creditors.

3.    Select the Counterparty.

In the Name field, you enter the Creditor’s name.  In this case, type in BT and press the [Enter] key.

The systems database will search to see if BT is already a counterparty.  The database may already have BT added as a counterparty.

Make sure you select BT (Glasgow G2 6AB) as shown below:

4.    Press the [Enter] key, which selects the highlighted counterparty.

5.    Go to the Claim tab and add the following details for BT.

6.    Compare your screen to the screen shot below:

Note

You can change the Unsecured Claim Type at this stage, if required.  There is also a section for adding notes.

7.    Click [Save and Exit].
