Changing the Job Type

Last modified

Overview

The Appointment Type may be changed by selecting an alternative Job Type from the Job Type dropdown.

In this example, the purpose of the Administration has not been achieved and the company is moved to Creditors Voluntary Liquidation.

Changing the Job Type

1.    Change the Job Type.

After opening your Job select a different Job Type from the Job Type drop down box.

Confirm the relevant details.

In this example, as the transition is from Administration to Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation, the relevant date is the date form 2.34B is registered at Companies House, so that date is the only information required to be entered.

Note

The exact field to be entered here will again be dependent on the type of transition.

6.    Click [OK] to continue.

The previous screen is shown again, this time with the relevant details entered.

All accounts should be selected by default, together with the account types applicable at the date of the transition, which will differ depending on how the accounts have been set up in the job.  If they are not required, they may be deselected by clicking on the checkbox next to the account name.

Note

IMPORTANT: Balances on accounts which are not selected will not be moved to the new job type, leading to an imbalance between the closing account in the ‘old’ job type and the opening account in the ‘new’ job type.

Note

As a “new” Job is not created, additional accounts are required to ensure that expenses are not “mixed” for different Job Types.

Any general ledger accounts with activity will be automatically selected for replication.

You will be warned if posting to accounts that relate to a previous Job Type.

Additionally, the system will automatically change the default Fees and Disbursements Accounts (see Job menu > Job Settings).

8.    Click [Next] to continue.

The next screen shows any forms and/or documents that need to be produces as a result of the job type change.

The forms available will be dependent on the ‘new’ job type, that is, those forms or documents with are required as part of the job type set up.

If no forms are selected, a warning will be shown: “Please produce the document(s) detailed in the list”.

9.    Once the documents have been prepared, click [Next] to move to the document authorisation screen:

If no user is selected, the following warning is shown:
