Publishing documents to CCH Document Management

Overview

If you have access to CCH Document Management by having been allocated the relevant user rights, you will be able to publish tax returns, computations and bundles of both to CCH Document Management.

  • You can publish the tax returns and computations before generating the IRMark (outside of Online filing) and
  • You can publish the tax returns and computations (along with their submission criteria) at both when the IRMark is created and when the submission has been sent to HMRC.

Publishing documents to CCH Document Management

The publishing of documents to the document management are fundamentally the same whether publishing from outside of Online Filing and from within Online Filing following the creation of the IRMark.

To publish  documents to document management without the inclusion of the IRMark and associated online filing documents:

  1. Open the period of account from the Tax Return tab within Central
  2. Click on the Publish to DM link from the Actions panel in the left hand task bar

  1. Select the Return pages and or computation schedules to be published.
  2. Click the Publish button.
  3. A message will appear confirming that the documents have been successfully published.
  4. To see the published documents select Document Centre tab in the client record.

Publishing documents from Online filing

Documents can be published to the document management following generation of the online filing submission and creation of the IRMark. It is also possible to Publish those documents following a live submission to HMRC.

  1. Select Online Filing from the Actions panel in the left hand task bar.
  2. Click on New submission 
  3. Attach any documents to include with the submission such as Accounts and other PDF documents.
  4. Click the pre validate link. 
  5. Resolve any errors displayed.
  6. Successful pre validation will result in an automatic test-in-live submission to HMRC.
  7. A success response will be displayed at the foot of the next window.
  8. Click Publish to DM link.
  9. The following  window will display all the possible documents associated with the online filing submission. Only the following documents can be published::
  • CT600 and supplementary pages
  • Accounts (if attached)
  • Computation
  • Other PDF attachments
  • Submission XML (XML file of Return)
  • HMRC response
  1. Click on OK
  2. A message will appear confirming that the documents have been successfully published.
  3. To see the published documents select Document Centre tab in the client record
