Overview

You can add/edit RPI values to the RPI table where their value has not already been pre-populated by CCH Corporation Tax. Any manually entered values will not be retained when the RPI table is next updated by CCH Corporation Tax. Access to this area is only possible if the specific task permission has been set to allow for the security group you belong to. Security and task permissions can only be granted by an individual who has system administrator rights.

Enter RPI

To add/edit values for RPI

  1. Close all Tax Returns currently open

  2. Select Maintenance>Tax Settings>Corporation Tax>Maintain RPIs

  3. To enter a monthly RPI value:

  • Click into any field that is coloured white and is not greyed out. The greyed out fields are the values that are automatically pre-populated by installation of each release of the CCH Corporation Tax software.
  1. To add a new Year:
  • Click the button marked Add row
  1. To restore the values in the window to the system generated values click on the button marked Restore

Note

This will delete all manually entered values and any additional years created.

All values manually added will be used in the calculation of capital disposals. If no value is entered for a month then the no indexation allowance will be calculated for any disposal made in that associated month in the year.
