Enabling other applications to run with CCH Central

Last modified 07:46, 24 Apr 2017

Overview

Configuration Key settings are pre-defined by CCH. Different configuration keys control how some functions behave and used to extend the functions delivered.  This topic explains how to set up configuration keys required to run other CCH applications with CCH Central.

How Configuration Keys work

CCH Central holds configuration entries that determine the relevant program and data locations for applications such as:

  • CCH Accounts Production

  • CCH Personal Tax

  • CCH Trust Accounting

When a program is configured for use, you can highlight a client on the Find Client window and launch the application from the Task Bar. The application opens showing the appropriate window in that application for the client.

Before you can use an application, system administration must set up the configuration keys as described below.
